Wonderfull photos ! Planning (hope so...), that we can come to Scotland next spring, and then try to get to the top of Ben Nevis and try to get to Biden nam Bian. My wife didn`t get all the way to Biden nam Bian last time, becasuse of her illness ( multiple sclerose). She traine a lot, and it`s a vitory when she get`s "on a mountain walk". If You should have some informations, that we can use/learn from, we would be happy to use it. I think that You are a "pro". We can only be ametaur, when we come from Denmark. The highst point is 170,86 m !!!!
Hve a nice time, and take care...
Jesper

Hi Jesper, good to hear from you again. I did Ben Nevis twice recently, once with my wife and that took us about 7 hours taking it easy up and down, weather was not too good that time and we saw nothing from the summit because of the cloud. The second time I went up Ben Nevis was in July this year with seven of my work colleagues to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation (a UK charitable organisation), that time we did it in 5 hours as we were attempting to climb three mountains (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales all in 24 hours) but it was very tiring doing it so quickly. We also had to help out the mountain rescue helicopter team lift up an injured walker so it was quite exciting. The good thing was that the weather was quite good and we got fantastic views from the top. The path up is good but get a bit rocky nearer the summit and from the time you start until you reach the summit it just keeps going up and up and up, no rest for apart from one small flat section near the loch about half way up. Well worth climbing but try to wait for a day when the summit is clear of cloud. I will try to post some photographs for you soon

Dear Jesper,
your pictures are absolutely wonderful. You have take so many pictures of breath-taking landscapes...wow. You have an eye for the atmosphere!!!
Great stuff!!!
So far I have only been to the Argyll/Lochhaber area. I felt in love with the Highlands last year. I am trying to go back next year again. I would love to see some snow.

Have a nice evening...take care, Sylvia

Hello Jesper.
Likewise you have some great photos..The ridge was amazing in snow it was a first winter climb with my son who was just 15 years old, a day neither of us will ever forget. He now climbs regularly and we intend to do the Cullins on Skye next year..

Thanks, I have climbed Ben Nevis twice, the first time it took 8 hours as we just took it easy, the second time I climbed it in 5.5 hours but this was very tiring. There is a running race up Ben Nevis every year and it took place yesterday, the winner went up to the summit and back down in 1 hour 37 minutes, amazing !
